Definition Learn to Swim Academy Program Information
Thank you for considering placing your child/children into our Premium Learn to Swim Program. This program has been carefully designed by aquatics experts utilising recognised industry standards as its foundation.
We offer learn to swim classes for children starting with parents and babies classes from 6 months of age, pre-school classes and school age classes. Our program also caters for school groups and adult learn to swim.
Our swim school runs to co-incide with school terms with intensive programs being run throughout school holidays. School holiday intensives are a great way to advance your child’s learning.
When booking your child/ren at Definition Learn to Swim Acadmeny, please review our terms and conditions below.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
ENROLMENT: Enrolment at Definition Learn to Swim is undertaken by the Swim School Coordinators. Contact details including name, address telephone number and medical information will be required as part of the enrolment process. An Enrolment Form must be completed andsigned. It is requested that if any contact information changes, that the
Swim School be notified immediately.
RE-ENROLMENT: Re-enrolment is not automatic each term and parents must re-enrol their child/children at the swim school desk or via phone within the last four weeks of each term. If payment for your booking is not made by the end of term your place may be given to another student. You will be advised at the time of re-enrolment if a change is to be made to your childs level which may affect the class day and time for the following term. Every effort will be made to assist parents in keeping the best suited day and time for them however no guarantees can be made.
FEES: Full term fees are payable before commencement of each term. If you have any difficulty in paying your fees please advise the co-ordinator so that payment arrangements may be organised. Payment arrangements will only be organised at the discretion of management and assessed on a case by case basis.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: Definition Learn to Swim does not charge parents for Public holidays. These days are removed from your up front fees.
MAKE UP LESSONS: A maximum of two make-up lessons per student are permitted when a child is ill. Make up lessons will be provided on the presentation of a Doctor’s certificate and/or at the discretion of the manager. Make-up lessons are also based on availability.
REFUNDS & CREDITS: Lessons are not refundable except under special circumstances i.e Unexpected moving out of the area. Credits for classes must be taken within the same term the child is enrolled. Refunds and Credits may be given at the discretion of management.
UNAVAILABILITY OF FACILITY DUE TO UNFORESEEN
CIRCUMSTANCES: Swim School students/parents will not hold Definition Health Club or Learn to Swim liable in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control such as fire, mechanical breakdown, catastrophe or any other reason not in the control of management.
POOL SAFETY: All Children must be supervised by an adult at all times whilst in the pool area. There is no running, diving or ball games in or around the pool.
SWIMMING CAPS & GOGGLES: We remind you that Swimming Caps are compulsory for boys and girls. Large amounts of stray hair can lead to blocking up of screens in the pool which can affect the normal flow of warm water. This rule is compulsory for all users of
the pool and we ask that you are mindful of this before your child starts their lesson. Swimming Caps and goggles are available from the Definition Learn to Swim reception. Whilst goggles are not compulsory they are strongly recommended for kids.
SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR POLICY: All instructors at the Definition Learn to Swim School are AUSTSWIM qualified and hold CPR certificates. Management endeavour to ensure consistency among instructors but circumstances beyond our control may sometimes
prevent this i.e instructor illness, change of life circumstances etc…or in some cases the replacement of an instructor due to inconsistency
